Want to reduce your pain – try meditation

Living in pain is obviously not fun, one way to reduce pain is through the practiced use of meditation. New research indicates how mediation are able to reduce their level of pain. As reported at medicalnewstoday:

“The results suggest that Zen meditators may have a training-related ability to disengage some higher-order brain processes, while still experiencing the stimulus,” says Rainville. “Such an ability could have widespread and profound implications for pain and emotion regulation and cognitive control. This behaviour is consistent with the mindset of Zen and with the notion of mindfulness.”

Meditation offers a non-medicated route to reducing pain, which is likely to help you other with many other aspects of your life. There are many positive effects of meditation for better brain health.
