Music tickles our brain’s reward system – makes us feel good. Cue the music.

Music makes us feel good. I think we have all felt how music gives us a lift, boosting our mood. Research out of Montreal published in Nature Neuroscience found that people listening to instrumental music (to eliminate the confounding variable of the human voice singing) had an increase release of dopamine (responsible for reward in the brain) in the striatum part of the brain.

Can music be used to help our brain health, improve our mood naturally, and/or make difficult tasks easier?
